Qingdao Beer Festival

This time, I would like to share a big celebration in my city. My city is famous for making good beer,so our celebration is about beer too.

Qingdao Beer Festival was founded in 1991.It's opening in every second weekend of August. This is the most nice time in Qingdao. The weather is nice. A lot of people visited during this time.

As a German colony, Qingdao Beer began as a joints venture by Anglo-German businessman. At the first time. All the production equipment and raw materials was come from Germany. But Qingdao has many favorable conditions, such as spring water from Mountain Lao, imported barley, good yeast,  hops and reasonable formula and rigorous process. Qingdao Beer become more and more famous.

The Festival will through all week. It's started with opening, shows and a lot of games. When I was a child, My family goes to here every years. We can got free enter ticket from the neighbor. Usually we will be in place around 6 pm.(open at 9 am to 12pm), and I remember that my father bought a barrel of beer. Everybody sitting together, sharing foods and watching shows. For me, I was too young too drink beer so all the kids will go to the game ground.

This Festival become important to me since I growing up. It is become good memories in my head. Beer Festival opened year and year as usual, but I haven't been there for a long times. I think the Festival is not only important to me but also to everybody who born in Qingdao. If you have opportunity to visit Qingdao during summer season, I would like to show you about this.

My Hidden Gem

Hello everybody. This is my second blog. This time, I'm going to tell you about my hidden gem. It's a cafe shop. The name of the place is Jewel Box Cafe. The shop is located at 32 NE Thornton PL, about just 15 min from my house. The first time I went there was with my friend. She recommended this shop to me. At the moment when I walked into the shop. The aroma of coffee and cookies immediately surrounded me. I can't wait to choose. I orded Zebra Mocha, and it tasted really good. I was enjoyed the Mocha and sat on a vintage red couch, listening to the music and looking at the rain outside. Every things was perfectly harmonious. We had a great time.

The next photo is one of my favorite food in the shop-Apple spice crepe, which is made with egg, flour, apple and cream. When I ate it, the taste of apple and cream will come out.

The reason I chose this place as my hidden gem is because I think it is a good place to hanging out with friends and all the food and drink are good quality. My host mom also went to this place sometimes. In fact, in China, there are many cafes as same as this one. The only different between China and here are how the people treat you. In China, the treat you as there customs. They give you good service and high quality food but no communication. But the shop make me feel I'm a old friend . So i want to go to this shop. People go there not only for drinking but also the environment. People choosing there for a cup of coffee, reading a book, taking with friends or study. Coffee shops are become more diversified.

Pictures of My Life

Hello everybody! My name is Zoe. This is my blog. I will show some pictures on here about myself. I hope you will like it!

The first picture is of my hometown. I was born in a city named Qingdao. It is not a big city in China. The most famous things to do in the city are drink beer and eat seafood. This city used to be Germany's colony, so a lot of beer factory was built. And we have beer festival. That is very interesting.

This picture is of me and my best friend. We were in Korea this summer. We ate a lot of food and had a lot of fun there. We met each other when we were 6 years old. She is always be with me and support me. I feel like she is part of my family.

The next one is of my dog. His name is Beibei. He is 7 years old, but he still eat a lot and be full of energy. My mom was scared of dog, so she didn't  allow me to have a dog. One day, we went shopping. We both saw him. He was like 2 months and very cute. I think he touched my mom's heart so i bought him.

This is my school in Switzerland. It used to be a castle hundred years ago. Now it is part of my school. My school is built in the mountain so every times we need to take train when we want to go down to buy somethings or having dinner. Switzerland is a very peaceful country. It is very small, like a countryside, so sometimes i feel bored.

Last but not the least is my favorite food- Hot Pot. Usually we eat during winter and it makes me feel warm. I like the spicy sauce. We add some beef, noodles and fish cakes inside.

The reason I chose them because there are part of my life and I would like to sharing. I hope everyone will like them.
